Junior Golf Development Series
Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club holds an extensive Junior Golf Program which annually attracts roughly 175 juniors throughout the region. Throughout each course, we strive to develop our young golfers to not only understand the basics of golf, the golf swing, etiquette and the rules of golf; but to show them the idea of all this is to have fun!
We use teaching techniques through our instructors, station work, competition and on course play to help allow the students to learn and develop the correct fundamentals in the golf swing. We hope they not only learn the ideas of how to swing the club properly, but to come out of it having the desire to want to continue on with the game of golf.
The Golden Bears
This early childhood golf program is designed to develop important motor skills through the use of target-oriented training methods. This program helps children establish a base off which to grow and develop a solid golf swing.

The Sharks
This junior program is designed to help young golfers establish and develop basic fundamentals of the game of golf. Practice session’s focus on the long and short game, as well as on-course play and golf etiquette. Participants must have successfully completed Golden Bears or a similar junior golf program before enrolling in this program. Golf clubs are not provided for use during this program.

The Tigers
This advanced junior golf program is designed to strengthen fundamentals by mixing long and short game practice with on-course training sessions. Participant must have successfully completed our Sharks program or similar junior program participation.

This junior program is designed to help young golfers establish and develop basic fundamentals of the game of golf. Practice session’s focus on the long and short game, as well as one on-course play day
